I’ve run the business, not just the technology.
I’m John Eystein Johannesen. For close to two decades I’ve built and run technology, much of it inside the Faroese and Greenlandic telecoms. That has given me both strategic overview and practical precision: I see the whole business, but I also go down to the one detail that decides whether a solution works in practice.
At TELE Greenland I held senior roles for around six years — first as Concept & System Architect, then Director of Development, and later as Teledirektør. The work ranged from designing systems to running a core part of the business. At the Faroese telecom company, Føroya Tele, I worked for several years as an IT specialist and in development, and I have also served on its board. I’ve also co-founded several companies of my own.
That combination is the core of KTR: strategic overview and practical precision. I’ve sat in the boardroom, and I’ve built the systems. So I can see the whole business and still go down to the concrete detail that decides whether a solution works in practice.
That’s what I bring to every project: listen first, understand the business, then build solutions that fit — bringing in trusted specialists when the task calls for it.
